Fifo Fit Foods, don’t let working away ruin your progress.
How many times have you arrived on site and thought to yourself, this swing will be different, only to find yourself at the end of your swing in a worse off position then you were at the start?
How many times have you thought if only there was a way, I could still track my food and macros without the hassle of carrying a scale around with me?
How many times have you thought is it possible to work away and still get the results you want?
If you have thought any of the above you have been in the same boat as me on many different occasions, many times I have arrived on site with the best of intentions only to be lured to the smell of the deep fat fried section of the Bain Marie or to the wet mess after a long hot day.
Working away doesn’t have to mean the death of your progress every week, being in the same shoes as many fifo workers I have decide to put together a guide on how to eat at work, breaking your macros down to measurements we can all understand (crib containers) and breaking down the typically food you will find for breakfast lunch and dinner and yes alcohol will be included. Although these will only be an approximate guide on what each foods macronutrient are, it can be used as a helpful guide to keep on track when away. These values can then be inpuJed into your MyFitnessPal app for tracking ease.
We will also look at how to eat throughout the day depending on what )me you train at.
So, let’s get into it, first we will look at the fist meal of the day, here will be a least of the most common foods you will find in the Bain Marie section of most sites around the Pilbara….
